The massive diagonal shadow

I often try to squeeze myself into different spaces hoping some interesting light shows through between buildings, and here it did. The long diagonal cast on this gritty wall jumped out at me the moment I turned the corner. This is an often-empty parking lot across from a theater, though a few stray buses were cluttering up the rest of the lot on this day. I don’t often take photos on angles, but this massive line created a uneasy feeling I felt was best understood on a severe line to the corner of the frame. I don’t mind the street light seeming to be crooked, because it isn’t exactly straight anyway. I liked how the light’s shadow echoed the larger one.
