Flight pattern – down the street next to the church

I posted about this very interesting Ukrainian Catholic church just the other day from in the village of Norridge. In this shot I’m just a block north in Chicago. The church is in Chicago. Everything on the right, center and left of it is in Norridge. Everything behind me is Chicago for one block, and then you have to go north again to stay in Chicago. It’s complicated.

Anyway, the planes roll right down the street here headed west into O’Hare airport. It’s kind of fantastical, because on a given day there are planes on the right and left of you like they’re all taking side streets on the way in. I was amazed at how quiet they actually were. I think you could be inside the church and not even notice them, though I didn’t have time to venture in.
