Chicago Temple – Sanctuary 1

I stumble on new things all the time. After rolling around a few photo blogs with different shots of the “sky chapel” at Chicago Temple, I decided to have a look for myself. Well, the tour was at the wrong time, so I had to settle for the first-floor sanctuary. That wasn’t so bad a deal. This is actually the back of the sanctuary, separated by glass from the seated area. A children’s play area was set up opposite this wall. Talk about a cool place to throw your toys.

  1. What a sumptuous interior and your rendering is like a watercolour. Striking stained glass.

    • Funny, I didn’t think of it as watercolor at all. Interesting interpretation. It’s quite a spectacle when you walk in. I’ll have to go back and photograph the whole interior. I didn’t have time on this day.
