Edge of the park

It was the time of day where the shadows have just overtaken the daylight, when your eyes strain a bit to find the details. I used to worry at that time of day when I was a kid. I guess the fourth definition of the word twilight is “a state of uncertainty, vagueness or gloom.” I think it was because the day was ending, which meant play was ending. As I grew more and more interested in photography it became my favorite time, and it only lasts a few handful of minutes, if you’re lucky.

You see very few people photographing the Michigan-Washington intersection. It’s gorgeous when the shadows creep. I was lucky enough to catch a limo rolling bye. In the upper left the Willis Tower (formerly Sears) attempts to touch the sky. Click on the photo to blow it up and see more detail.
